Making candy out of watermelon is a neat treat to make with the kids. Kids love it and the best part is that it's healthy. Watermelon is full of the vitamins they need and there aren't a lot of calories in it so they can eat as much as they want.

  1. Wash the watermelon then slice into 1/2-inch (12 mm) slices or jerky like strips.
  2. Arrange on dehydrator trays in a single layer.
  3. Dehydrate at 135°F (57°C) for about 18-22 hours.
  4. Let cool then store in an airtight container.
