Dehydrating Broccoli | Commercial Dehydrators

Dehydrating Broccoli will be a great addition to your long-term storage food supply. This dehydrated broccoli is ideal for making green powder, or just rehydrating and adding it to soups, stews, and other recipes.

Instructions
  1. Soak broccoli in salt water for about 10 minutes.
  2. Rinse with clean water then cut the florets into 1/2 inch bouquets. Cut off about 1/2 inch (12 mm) of the bottom of the stalk, peel the outer layer and discard then cut up the stalk into small strips.
  3. Add the broccoli to boiling water and cook for 8-10 minutes. Drain.
  4. Arrange on dehydrator trays lined with non-stick sheets or parchment paper.
  5. Dehydrate at 125°F (52°C) for 7-8 hours.
  6. Once dry store in a cool dark place in airtight containers.
  7. If you wish to make broccoli powder place dry broccoli into a blender and pulse until you have a fine powder. Store in a cool dark place in an airtight container.
