Dehydrated Potatoes | Commercial Dehydrators

When you're planning a camping trip or looking for an easy dinner recipe, dehydrated potatoes are a great option. They're fast and easy to prepare, and have a sweet flavor that makes them the perfect stand-in for fresh potatoes or mashed potatoes in recipes like scalloped potatoes and au gratin potatoes.

  • 1 bag of potatoes
  • Salt and pepper, to taste (optional)

Instructions
  1. You can either peel the potatoes or scrub and wash.
  2. Slice into 1/8-inch slices or cut into 3/8-inch cubes (3-9 mm).
  3. Combine with water in a pot and boil for 5-10 minutes. Remove from heat, drain and allow to cool.
  4. Arrange in a single layer on dehydrator trays. If desired, add  salt and  pepper.
  5. Dehydrate at 125°F (52°C) to 135°F (57°C) for 8-10 hours.
