Dehydrated Peas | Commercial Dehydrators

This is a great way to add some green to your backpacker meals, or just have on hand for quick weeknight meals. Dehydrated peas are easy to rehydrate with a few minutes in hot water, making them ideal for adding to soups, stews and more.

  • Fresh Peas, shelled OR uncooked frozen peas, thawed
  • Ice bath

Instructions
  1. Boil water in a pot. Add the peas and boil for just 1 minute.
  2. Remove peas from boiling water and cool immediately in the ice bath.
  3. Arrange peas in a single layer on dehydrator trays.
  4. Dehydrate at 125°F (52°C) for 4-8 hours.
