Dehydrated Fruit Balls | Commercial Dehydrators

These easy dried fruit balls are a healthy alternative to the sugar-filled snacks you get during the holidays. Perfect for lunchboxes, or as a feel good snack. Full of flavor, these are sure to become a family favorite!

Ingredients
  • 1 cup dates, dried
  • 1/2 cup calimyrna fig, dried
  • 1/2 cup prunes (or 1/2 cup apricot, dried)
  • 1/2 cup regular or golden raisins
  • 1 cup walnuts, crushed (or 1 cup pecans)
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup flaked coconut

Instructions
  1. Chop dates, prunes, figs and raisins in a food processor.
  2. Pour chopped mixture into medium-sized bowl. Add walnuts and sunflower seeds, and mix. Pour in lemon juice and stir.
  3. Mold into 1/2 to 1 inch (6-12 mm) balls. Roll balls in flaked coconut.
  4. Place in a dehydrator and dry at 135°F (57°C) for 4 - 6 hours or until the outer part is crispy.
