Dehydrated Corn | Commercial Dehydrators

Fresh corn is delicious but it's only in season for a short period of time. Dried corn is a great way to preserve it for later use. Having dried sweet corn in your cupboard means you can make succotash, chowder and other dishes all year round.

Ingredients
  • 4 ears of corn (also canned or frozen corn)

Instructions
  1. Strip corn from the cob using a knife or corn stripper.
  2. Bring water to boil in a large pot. Add the corn and let boil for 4 minutes.
  3. Remove from the water and transfer to an ice water bath to cool immediately. Drain.
  4. Spread kernels on the dehydrator trays in a single layer.
  5. Dehydrate for 8-12 hours at 135°F (57°C).
  6. Let cool completely then store in airtight jars. Can be stored up to one year in a cool, dry, dark place.
