The refreshing taste of Asian pear combined with the sharpness of ginger work together to create a sophisticated snack. Be sure to finely grate your ginger as not to overpower the subtle flavor of these pears.

  • 6 medium sized Asian pears, peeled, pitted and cored
  • 1 1/2tsp. honey
  • 4 Tbsp. warm water
  • 1 small knob of ginger, finely grated

Instructions
  1. In a bowl, mix honey and ginger. Add the water and mix well.
  2. Slice Asian pears into uniform slices, around 1/4 inch (6 mm) thick. Arrange pear slices onto dehydrator tray and brush with a thin layer of ginger-honey mixture.
  3. Dehydrate for 9-12 hours at 135°F (57°C).
